Consultation and Inspiring your Cakes and Bakes

The Bakemonger wants you to have an amazing cake designed and inspired by you, your celebration or a theme of choice.  Every cake or bake is made to order and to ensure that happens you can contact The Bakemonger and consult on shapes, flavours, ingredients and every other aspect without any obligation or deposit. 

Cake Decorations

The Celebration and Wedding Cakes provided by The Bakemonger are highly decorative, innovative and will, as standard, include icing and either chocolate work or another similar technique of your preference.  For additional decorations such as bows, ribbons, candles or edible flowers a small surcharge may be applicable.
Please be aware that all standard decorations provided by The Bakemonger are edible.  If non-edible decorations are agreed upon during your consultation it will remain your responsibility to ensure these items are not consumed.  

Allergies and Intolerances

Every effort will be made to provide you with the baked goods of your choice within your dietary requirements.   Please ensure you mention any Allergies or Intolerances during your consultation and prior to your order.  Any amendments made after your initial order may affect the final price (see Deposits and Changing Your Mind below.)

All cakes and baked goods are prepared in a kitchen that regularly uses nuts, dairy, gluten etc.  Every practical measure will be taken to ensure there is no cross-contamination during the production of your order if you have stated an allergy or intolerance.

Deposits and Changing Your Mind

All orders over £100 and Wedding Cakes require a non-refundable 50% (non-inclusive of Delivery) deposit payable on placement of the order with the remaining balance payable on delivery.  If you cancel your order, for any reason, more than 14 days before the date of your event, the deposit is non-refundable but any any other monies paid will be refunded.

If you have ordered a Wedding Cake the deposit remains nonrefundable but only 25% of other monies paid will be refunded if the order is cancelled less than two calender months, or three if it is fruit cake, prior to your wedding.

If you wish to amend your order (eg change number of tiers, sponge type or theme) with The Bakemonger then each request will be taken case by case.  As much notice as possible should be given to allow The Bakemonger to achieve these changes for you.  The Bakemonger reserves the right to deny these changes if there is insufficient time to practicably carry out the changes.

If the pricing of your order is affected in any way by changes this will be reflected in the final invoice sum.

Collection and Delivery

You are welcome to collect your cake directly from The Bakemonger at BA11 1GA.
A delivery service is offered in accordance with the Pricing Guide.  It is advisable that all multi-tiered and/or Wedding cakes are delivered.   All delivery charges are calculated using the distance, as provided by Google Maps, between your delivery postcode and BA11 1GA .   The Delivery/Collection of your order will be discussed during your consultation prior to ordering.

Payment Terms

All Deposits and Final Payments can be made by cash, cheque or BACS transfer.  Wedding cakes require Final Payment 14 days prior to delivery of your cake.
